Events for 2017

Monthly Leica meets in Bristol.
London Camera Exchange Bristol (Baldwin Street) will be hosting a monthly social meet and photo walk, named Bristol Leica Social. The first meeting will be on April 1st, 2017, and on the first Saturday of every month thereafter.
Each meet will start at the store, at 9am, (3 Alliance House, Baldwin Street, BS1 1SA) then divide into smaller groups for a photo walk around the centre, meeting at a café at 12 noon to compare images and, of course, discuss all things Leica.

May 6th / 7th Leica AGM Weekend
The 11th Leica Society Annual Weekend / Exhibition will be held on May 6th / 7th at the Queens Hotel, Chester.

21st May Photographica and Photo London
Photo London is an Exhibition at Somerset House 17-21 May.  21st May is Photographica - Tony Cole wonders if there are any Members interested in combining the two?
He suggests meeting at the cafe at Photographica at 11 and take it from
there - though you have to book tickets for the exhibition - perhaps trying
for 3pm there????

June / July (dates to be confirmed but will be on a Sunday) a trip on a barge from Maldon, Essex, Barges will be either Thistle (built 1895) or Hydrogen (built 1906). please contact a Committee Member if you are interested.

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s centre of remembrance for all those who gave their lives in the service of their country since the end of the second world war. The landscaped grounds cover 150 acres and feature the iconic Armed Forces Memorial plus over 330 other memorials. There is an Exhibition Centre, a Millenium Chapel, a Land Train which tours the site, a Shop, Restaurant and Coffee Shop.
It is situated at Alrewas just off the A38 about 3miles north of Lichfield with good connections to the M42, M1 and M6 via the A50.

As with similar gatherings there will be no organised programme as such, it is simply an opportunity to meet up with fellow members at an interesting location, take a few pictures and chat about all things Leica.

No booking is required, simply turn up on the day as a normal visitor. Entry is free but there is a nominal parking charge.
Meet in the restaurant in the Remembrance Centre from around 10.30 am and wear a Leica.
